From spirited Pub Crawls and Tea Parties with the Swedish Court to majestic Birds of Prey encounters and the Queen’s Knighting Ceremony, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

Pub Crawls

Embark on an adventure with Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire Pub Crawls! Traverse the Village of Merriwick on a spirited private tour, featuring a uniquely entertaining host plus ale, cider and shenanigans aplenty! Each Pub Crawl participant also receives a Special Edition Glass, a commemorative Pin to mark the occasion, and VIP reserved seating at a popular performance to close out the crawl. Several Pub Crawls are available each day at various start times, and each lasts around 2 hours.

11am – 1pm
Manis O’Tools’ Yak-tacular Pub Crawl

Manis O’Tools’ Yak-tacular Pub Crawl promises lively libations, wild surprises, and a quest to solve the mystery of a missing yak named Clark. The escapades begin at the Cat & Fiddle Public House, where your gracious host will welcome you with your first sampling of our finest ales and ciders. From there, you’ll embark on a spirited tour through the Vale of Dunrose, filled with laughter, shenanigans, and clues in the search for Clark! Your next stop is the Kilted Stag, where another round of ale and cider awaits. After raising your spirits (and perhaps finding Clark!), you’ll be led to VIP seating for the thrilling afternoon joust, where fun and revelry abound.

2pm – 4pm
Robin’s Risqué Pub Crawl

Gather your band of merry rogues and join the laughter, libations, and risqué revelry—because no one parties like Robin Hood and his lovely Lady Marion! Your spirited journey begins at The Kilted Stag, where your gracious hosts will greet you with the first sampling of our finest ales and ciders. From there, you’ll be swept away on a lively tour of the faire filled with laughter, surprises, and a bit of cheeky fun, all leading to the charming Cat & Fiddle Public House for another round of our delicious brews. But the revelry doesn’t end there! As a special guest, you’ll enjoy exclusive VIP seating for Robin’s Risqué Revels, a raucous show guaranteed to delight and entertain.

3pm – 5pm
Ales & Tales Pub Crawl with The Toasted Clover

Raise thy tankard and prepare for an adventure filled with boisterous toasts, riotous storytelling, and merry mischief as The Toasted Clover leads thee on the Ales & Tales Pub Crawl! This rollicking journey through the Village of Merriwick promises frothy libations, outrageous tales and camaraderie aplenty! Thy spirited journey begins at The Hammered Troll Inn, where thy host shall regale thee with a tale to set the tone and a sampling of the Kingdom’s finest ales and ciders. With thy thirst whetted and laughter in the air, the crawl ventures forth to The Red Dragon Inn, where another round of drink and story await. But the tale is not yet told! With spirits high, revelers shall be led to VIP Seating for the thrilling 5 PM Joust in the Royal Arena, where merriment shall continue in the company of noble knights and thunderous cheers!

Tea Party with Princess Cecilia & the Swedish Royal Court

Join her Royal Highness, Princess Cecelia of Sweden and her Court at this enchanting Tea Party!

Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a delightful tea hour filled with charming tales, delectable treats, and magical moments in the Princess’ shaded pavillion. Mingle with royalty and allow Princess Cecelia to regale thee with stories of her royal adventures and pose for a portrait with her guests. As a token of appreciation for your attendance, each guest will also receive a beautiful crown to adorn themselves with!

Whether thou art a young noble dreaming of fairy tale moments or a family seeking a special experience, the Tea Party is an event not to be missed!

Please note that for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, ALL children under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult while on the Faire property. Parents must attend the Tea Party with their young prince or princess. Water and a place in the shade is made available for parents during the tea party if they do not wish to purchase a ticket for themselves to join in on the fun!

Gnome Adventure

Stay tuned for 2025 Gnome Adventure details where younglings join in an immersive quest throughout the Village of Merriwick.

A list of clues will be available for pickup at the Info Booth inside the Faire (or you can download the clues to your phone!). Explore and discover the excitement of the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire as you seek to find all of the lost Gnomes. Snap a picture of yourself with each gnome you discover throughout the day and head back to the Info Booth to claim your prize once you’ve found them all!

Queen’s Knighting Ceremony

Every day in the Queen’s Pavillion, aspiring guests can be officially designated as a Knight of the Realm by the Queen herself. This is a free event open to all genders and ages. Knights receive an official printed certificate that proclaims their status throughout the land!

Birds of Prey

Encounter legendary birds of prey and witness their majesty among the likes of their handlers in daily exhibitions.
  • View the Weekend Schedule to see the Birds of Prey in their Arena Exhibitions.
  • Visit the Raptor Events booth near the arena to meet the birds and have one-on-one photo sessions holding a bird of prey!
