Are You Interested in Joining a Guild?
Would you like to participate at the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire as a guild member this season? Some of the guild organizations that exhibit, demonstrate or entertain at the Faire are currently recruiting new members. Read below to find out what these Guilds are seeking and how to connect directly with them if you are interested in participating!
ARTISAN'S HALL
The Artisans' Hall breathes life into the past by exploring the crafts, foodways, and artistry of the 16th century. Because the renaissance wasn't only a time of playwrights, soldiers, and nobility, it was a groundswell of normal ordinary people advancing their lot generation by generation through the sweat of their own brows and the calluses of their own hands.
Please enter our guildyard to watch our Artisans in action and learn more about the everyday lives of the 16th Century working class. We will have a rotating group of Artisans demonstrating their skills and answering any questions you may have.
We're open to folks with established Elizabethan/Tudor working/middle class kit, with a period craft or skill to demonstrate. Please reach out to Becky Norton at [email protected] for more information.
LANDSKHNECT
Our group is made up of a variety of players representing the various officers, soldiers, and camp followers that would be found in support of a historical Landsknecht regiment. Our guild appears at various faire events throughout Washington and Oregon to provide a historically based, interactive, and entertaining experience for patrons.
Like what you see? We are actively looking for new guild members to l·ll out our ranks! We need it all: soldiers, camp followers, officers, and even more soldiers!
